FAQ

Is Facet a mechanical pencil?

No. Facet is an inkless pencil with a fixed graphite writing tip. It does not advance thin leads with a click or twist mechanism. You replace the writing tip by unscrewing it.

Which replacement tips fit Facet?

Use the two extra graphite tips supplied with your pencil. Compatibility with other brands and tip sizes has not been confirmed.

Does “eternal pencil” mean it writes forever?

No. “Eternal pencil” is a category term, not a lifetime guarantee. Facet uses a replaceable tip; we do not specify a fixed number of pages or years of writing.

How to replace the tip？

  1. Unscrew the graphite tip from the front of the barrel.
  2. Align one of the supplied replacement tips with the opening.
  3. Screw the replacement tip into place. It stays fixed while you write.

Six sides. A distinctive profile.

Facet’s hexagonal barrel brings flat faces and defined edges to a familiar writing tool. The silver-gray finish keeps the look understated, whether it’s in your hand or resting beside your notebook.

Graphite writing. A fixed point.

Put the graphite tip to paper for notes, lists, and first drafts. The point stays in place while you write. There’s no button to press or mechanism to advance the tip; twisting is for changing it.
