FAQ

Who is this magnetic fidget slider for?

Gleam is intended for experienced adult players who enjoy magnetic feedback and practicing trick sequences. It is not a children’s toy.

Should I retune Gleam when it arrives?

No. The current version arrives assembled, hand-tuned, and ready to use. Keep the supplied configuration unless you have a specific tuning need.

What does the 6+8 magnet layout mean?

One plate holds six magnets and the other holds eight: 14 installed magnets in total. The 14 spare N45 magnets are additional.

Which plate should face up?

Either the six-magnet or eight-magnet plate can face up for flat tricks. The supplied layout is also intended for three-dimensional trick play.

Can I change the magnet layout later?

Yes. Each original magnet plate has ten positions. Possible layouts include 6+6, 6+8, 8+8, and 10+10. These are optional configurations; the supplied 6+8 setup is already tuned.

How do the alternate magnet plates change the feel?

They allow a looser magnet fit, intended to soften the springy response. Keep them for a specific tuning goal; they do not need to be installed before use.

Will the included parts fit other sliders?

The supplied parts are intended for Gleam. Compatibility with other sliders has not been confirmed.
